Hello, my name is Joe Maddon and I own a surf shop/restaurant/fishing restaurant in New Orleans Louisiana, simply called "Joe's". Being the owner of a fairly big restaurant, one of the questions I get a lot is on how I built up my brand, can micro-manage so many different aspects of the company, and just simple fishing questions. Quite simply, all of this came quite easy for me, and I outsource everything now to a few family friends who have turned out to be great business men, Chuck and Todd. Each of them run the different aspects of the company, and I just work on the fishing end. Here I hope to be able to blog about my experiences, and give tips to other fisherman such as myself. If this interests you, read on. In addition, to share a bit of personal information about my life, I have 3 daughters and one eldest son who is going to LSU in the fall. I love my family more than life itself and I do what I do for them. Unfortunately, my wife died of breast cancer two years ago, and she will be in my heart always, I feel for anybody struggling with the same thing and its still hard for me every day to wake up and live without her.
